Shanai Browne

Youth Officer

Profile

Shanai has been supporting young people in the community for over four years, with a strong focus on helping them build confidence and develop their skills.

Specialising in dance, Shanai attended the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School and the Brits Performing Arts School, where she honed her talent and passion for performing arts. She brings this experience into her work, using dance to engage young people and provide creative outlets for self-expression.

As a newly qualified PE teacher, Shanai is excited to continue encouraging young people to grow their aspirations, using sports as a tool for building physical health, teamwork, and resilience. Her approach is not only about developing athletic abilities but also about fostering positive attitudes, discipline, and self-confidence, which are essential life skills.

In her role as Co-Youth Board Lead, Shanai is dedicated to empowering young people to voice their ideas and take an active role in their communities. She works closely with her team to ensure that the voices of youth are heard, valued, and acted upon, supporting the development of programs that cater to their needs and aspirations. Through her leadership, Shanai fosters a sense of ownership, responsibility, and leadership in young people, giving them the tools they need to become active, positive contributors to society.

Shanai’s combination of skills in dance, sports, and youth engagement benefits the communities she works with by providing young people with the resources and inspiration they need to reach their full potential. Her work not only helps them physically but also builds their confidence, empowers their aspirations, and strengthens their connection to their communities.
